Have a brand new apex xtx and wanted to put on all new X wheels. Does the suspension need to come out to put on inner wheels front axle that shock is connected to?

Honestly it's much simpler IMHO to remove it. That front lower mount is a major pain to remove and reinstall. I've had my skid out so many times, I can remove it in about 10 min. And reinstall in 15min., by myself.

did you consider putting the hyfax extender kit from Pioneer , at the same time , as it makes the sled roll easier , and less hyfax wear .

Thanks. I'll remove skid. I've never heard of the hyfax extender kit. I just got this sled it's brand new.

My hyfax are FINALLY worn to the point I'll change them. 2 full seasons, 6,000 mi., on Excel wheels and DuPont sliders.

go on the Pioneer website and check it out .
it lowers the wheels instead of using larger wheels , and includes an extra pair of wheels .
I couldn't believe how much better the sled coasted , when you let off the gas . less friction equals more speed , or better gas mileage if that is a concern .
I have duponts but never even bothered to put them on yet , as the stock sliders stopped wearing .
My sled is a 2015 Apex XTX , and most of the add ons went on before I drove the sled once , and the wheels went on after 2 rides .
All the upgrades I did were based on reading this forum .
It doesn't matter how much you weigh or how short or tall you are , you gotta do the star suspension , and the WRP seat, if you really want to enjoy your new sled . oh ya and the snowtrackers , and the 13 mm sway bar , and the lakeeffects riser , and , and , it is addictive doing things to make a really good sled great !

If your xtx is a 2015 it already comes w/duponts installed factory.

I looked everywhere on the Yamaha Canada Apex XTX model description , and cant find any mention of the sliders being duponts .
I bought a set with the $600 spring buy incentive money , along with HID headlights , ice scratchers , and the mirror kit .

I don't know what the Canadian website has, mine is USA bought, and in the Yamaha USA site it does say duponts, and I can say that after 3000 miles this year on my 15 the slides still look new, mine are duponts, seems hard to believe Yamaha would have different stuff on sleds sold in different countries.

Well look at my problem with the hitch setup between the us and Norway. I can say that Canada and US have different accessories but agree that sliders should be the same.

Then again they have been offering 1.75 lug for years in other countries. What the crap Yamaha????

I looked all over both Canada and U.S. , and cant find any mention of Duponts other than in the accessories section .
Pls show me where you see it .
