Hey,
Last year I bought my 07 and just put in gas and rode it. I have no doubt that the sled was well maintained as there were substantial amounts of modifications done to it, so im guessing he also took care of it
This fall before the season starts I want to do a major service to the sled just so I know when everything was done. Im planning th weekend of Nov 17th so I want to make a list of what I need to do and what I need to do it now so I have everything and can get it all done at once.
This is where I am now
Oil Change
3L of amsoil 0-40 synthetic
K&N filter #KN147
Starter fix
Red Loctite for Starter bolts. I have not had a problem but will loctite the bolts anyways
Chaincase
250mL of Mobile 1 75w-90 (going to be doing diffs on Jeep so will have some leftover for this)
Copper exhaust donuts? I have heard of people using these, not sure what the benefit is though. Also I have read about bushing kits, i dont know if I need bushings but open to suggestions
What else should I be doing/getting up to when I am in there? I am going to be taking the front end of like Cannondale has done in his threads. Also are there any special tools I need outside of a standard socket set and wrenches?
Next week I will order all the crap I need
Here is a link to a thread about my sled

I am thinking maybe I might try and find a sway bar (anyone with one for cheap PM me), adjust the limiter strap (advice on this). Also my teather took a crap last winter so i cut the wires and just soldered them together, so maybe I will replace that.
I replaced my front shocks last year with some newly rebuilt ones because I sheared off a shock shaft. I just bought a stock FX tool box for the sled too for my spare belt. Any suggestions on what else to put in there? and I have a flotation skid plate that I have to put on. I have hartman rail extensions too for 136 but I dont think I will get to that until I wear down my track, next years job i guess
Thanks

sounds like you have some work ahead of you.
check for cracks in rear suspension, mainly look at pivot link on shocks.
check front a arms for slop, bushings?
the tighter the limiter strap the more ski pressure you'll have. you will have to adjust to your style.
through in extra pair of gloves & a hat with your belt maybe?

Cannondale,
Do you have links for the parts I need for the A arms and the "bushman" updates?
Also I am assuming blue loctite for those parts so they can be removed or will I be good using red and not have to worry about them for a few years?
Any help is appreciated and any suggestions. I plan on doing everything I need to at once. I moved so now have to take the sled to work on weekends for a heated garage

I would follow Cannondale's how-to on the front end removal to get your list done.

I would use Red for the starter and Blue for everything else. Make sure the bolts are clean.
