Dreaded inside ski lift

I'm personally thinking you can't have the best of both worlds, i.e. corners on rails handling and excellent bump absorbtion at speed.

I don't have enough time on a Rev to know if this is true. But, reading about the set ups guys are using to get the ski lift under control seems counter productive to soaking up the big hits?
 
What are you supposed to do? Its a tough situation. If your on smooth trails you want it to cut like a knife! If its rough thats not so important your bouncing all over the place anyways A good comprimise I think would be a ski stance wideing kit of some type. 1-2 inches more would probablly make a huge difference and still let you keep the suspension stiff. I dont know just a thought.
 
You could always re-adjust the stock spacer positioning attached to the ski mounts and make the stance wider, probably get a couple of inches there anyway, and it's free ! ;)!

Exactly ride it! you guy's who are on the RTX and complaining need to catch up to your sled,it sounds like it might be a tad too much for some.
 
Its not that the suspension is to much its just off somewhere and I cant figure it out. I just sucks that my buddies have those POS XP's and they turn better right out of the box. I just cant wait to tow one for the first time they would probablly leave it before getting towed by a Nytro though

It could be that for some they are still adopting the 2-stroke throttle technique of "on the gas" "off the gas" to there 4-stroke causing there own problems ie: ski lift,tail wagging,smooth throttle application in/out of turns and "THROUGH" is crucial to the handling of these sleds as well as a little body english.Of course the SD will handle better out oof the box,it's no secret :o| it's because of the ski's!but remember those who are kinda new to the 4-stoke thing throttle application is key SMOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I want to know about setting the sag you are the first person to actually say anything about it and it is a major part of setting up anything to run right help me out what # are we aiming for? And from what point on the sled are you taking your measurement? Rear bumper?

Front shock on skid - reduced the spring preload.
Ski shock spring preload reduced - compression damping increased a little.
Rear skid spring on medium setting.

What did you wind up reduing the preload by ?
