Got my first real trail ride in this morning. Great sled! I am coming off a 2004 Rev 600 HO X and this RTX blows it away. That said I struggled in the tighter twisty sections because of too much inside ski lift. I haven't touched anything except torsion settings on H and my rear compression clicker is maxed. I go 285lbs and ride hard so I wanted to stiffen the skid up off the bat. I also am not running studs, but can see that they are needed to make the best of this fantastic engine!
My question is related to the pressure in the floats. No thread has given a straight answer. Is lower pressure going to help the ski lift? I would think the lower pressure would promote body roll and make ski lift worse no? Do I need a stiffer sway bar? Don't get me wrong here, a little inside ski lift is good. On my Rev I could bicycle around corners without worry, but my RTX just feels like it's going to roll over if I don't back off...and thats no fun!

I found anything under 85 psi to induce to much body roll but there is a fine line on how much air to put into those shocks where the sled will then want to highside all the time.
does my body weight allow me to put more pressure into the floats? I am guessing when I reduce ski lift(more air pressure) I am going to produce more of a push with the skis? Will going up two holes on the limiter strap as suggested by many help with the ski lift?

yes for sure, but its not that simple..
raise the limiter strap and then you can reduce the air pressure also to improve the ride somewhat.

Guys, SOME body roll is required! If you had zero body roll then you would get inside ski lift every time. You have to factor in your riding style....do you like to lean alot with your arse hanging on the side of the seat or do you mainly stay on the seat?

Glad you guys appreciate it! One of the best movies ever IMO.
"Over the line!" Sorry Smokey, league game. Smokey this isn't Nam, it's bowling"
skid set up may make a diff. for some but in the 2500 mls or so I put on my apex lower was way better (cog) very little inside lift also. These shocks never bottom and you get very little feed back thru the bars. 45-50 pds was the # on the apex . thats where I'll start.
