Dreaded Starting Issues

Couple issues I'm having with my 2014 Viper LTX SE - MCX190

1) Always need to carry a booster pack when riding - sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't.

2) Sled wont start at all. I turn the key and it clicks at the starter relay solenoid near the battery. Bought a new relay and it doesn't even do anything. Battery is good.

3) ECU has been flashed - Do i need a new starter? Is there more damage?

It's literally always an issue when starting this sled. I have zero faith that I can go for a ride, shut it off then have it re-start without any issue. There HAS to be an actual fix for this?

Is your starter original?
Many of these starters had the magnets break and cause the starter to drag and eventually fail.
If your starter is original to the machine it may be time to remove, inspect and possibly replace it.

I also have a starting issue with 2014 SR Viper.
I always start and run this sled every month during the off season.
Last try it produced a loud pop and now it wont even crank.
I turn the key now and it just buzzes and chirps, no attempt to crank.
Also no error codes on the display.

I did replace the starter relay block on top of the battery
but no change.

Desperate to know if anyone else has experienced this problem
and what the solution may be.
Only 2,100 miles on the sled!

Engine kicked back ruining starter

What caused the engine to kick back?
Any tricks or tips to replacing the starter?

Flooded or fouled plugs. If your starting every month you need to run till at operating temp or plugs will get fouled and cause issues. Also they hate stale fuel. I would inspect for a damaged starter and also check the gear that the starter meshes with for damaged or broken teeth.
