I want to put multiple holes in my drop brackets so that I can adjust ride height, track angle and transfer. I used 1/4" aluminum to make my brackets.

How close can the holes be drilled to each other without worrying about the material between them failing?

I would say 1" is good. My question has always been......How far can you shove the track up into the tunnel before causing problems?

I remember reading on here that dropping the skid OUT of the tunnel improves the handling and ride a lot on the RX-M's. It's opposite to what you would think but apparently it works.

JR-

Thanks for the pictures. My brackets are very similar to yours. I drilled one additional hole that dropped the tunnel over the skid by 1.25". I have space to drill another to drop it more, but doubt I will ever go that low for clearance reasons in the tunnel.

Thanks for the help - here is what my brackets turned out to be...

Yea, I put 4 holes in there just in case. I found that the 2nd hole down is best and will probably keep it there. If I had to do it again I would have made the bracket smaller. Oh Well.

i have two holes drilled fairly close together on my sled with the M7 skid.
My riding friend has about 10 holes drilled in the drop brackets very close together on his M7 skid
