Well, at 5,600 miiles I lost my drive shaft bearing on the speedo side of my warrior. what kind of mileage have you guys seen out of this bearing? Any recommendations or tips when replacing the bearing?

I simply change it every year. Most I put on one is 4000 miles and it was starting to get a bit noisy. I call it a cheap investment and its it only takes a bit of time to change.

I recommend getting a needle greaser and pump some grease into that bearing a couple times a season. Also do the same with the bearing behind the secondary.

What kind of job is it to change?? I would like to do mine this summer.

where can I get a needle greaser because that sounds like great idea. How long of a process is it to replace this bearing? I chewed up the speed sensor a bit as well and need to replace that.

On my 04 RX-1 when the bearing went bad it actually spun the race of the bearing on the drive shaft and seized itself to the shaft. So I had to pull the suspension and chain case to get the drive shaft out and put it in a press to get the bearing race off. I will definetly be greasing and replacing mine on an annual basis know. If the bearing is still in one peice I agree it should be easy to replace. My experience is that when it gets into the speed sensor it may be a bit harder to change than if it were changed before it actually went bad. :nos
