I am going to order a set of Avid drivers but can anyone tell me what size the shaft is on a 08 Nytro MTX?

If I remember correctly the shaft size is 1.0625 inch.

Yes, that is correct

Yes it is, Yamaha has been using the 1.0625 hex shaft since the late 90s pro-action chasis. (maybe even before that) Although the shaft length and ends vary with chasis type.
Its kinda nice that they have stuck with one diameter, makes it easy to find drivers!

Hey guys why doesn't Avid make drivers that you don't have to modify the track? I don't want to sound cheap here but isn't there price a little steep for a chunk of plastic?

spend the money on the avids! best spent money ever! i have gone through a few sets of drivers and the avid ones have held up to everything i can put them through
