I did a search but could not find my answer in any of the forums. I know this is the apex forum, but know this is looked at more than the others.

Replacing the driveshaft bearing on a 2001 sxr 600. Removed the old bearing which was difficult, stuck to the driveshaft, but successful. Having a hard time aligning the new bearing through the hole in the tunnel. The driveshaft dropped down and towards the back of the hole when the old bearing was removed. Now I can't push the new bearing through the hole because of the tension on the driveshaft and its not in alignment with the hole. I can push the driveshaft up, but not forward where it needs to go. I have the back of the sled on a stand with all the track tension off. Seems like I should be able push the driveshaft without that much resistance. Any ideas?

its just the wieght of the sagging track use rachet strap to pin the track up to the slides and give you room to move shaft.

Pick the sled with a chain-fall. De-tension the track fully. Let the slop in the track sit on the floor, by just slightly picking the sled up with the chain-fall. Do it this way all the time :-)
