Drop brackets

cool thanks i'll try timber. I'm not looking for much I run excell exhausts on my 2 apexes and i'm having issues with the studs hitting the mid pipe. so i'm just looking to drop it a half inch to an inch because whatever i drop it down i will gain in clearance between the studs and exhaust. i'm only running 1.375 studs too dunno why i'm having problems.

Most likely your track is bowing at high speed hitting. You could also add hifax to your tunnel protectors giving about 1" more of protection.

i have already added about a 1/2" to 3/4" of hifax to the tunnel protectors but i'm still having issues. i do alot of high speed wot lake running so i'm sure your right about the track ballooning at high speeds. and i'm sure hard braking at those speeds would do it too as the track wants to keep going and when you hit the brakes it wants to bunch up. anyways figure the next thing i can try is lowering the rear end a bit to add clearance.

so after not being able to find what i'm looking for i am going to make my own drop brackets. i was going to extend the stock brackets enough to move the bolt hole an inch lower. my question is will lowering the rear mounts by an inch throw the geometry of the skid off ? will i have to lower the front mount holes as well to match the rear ? i would be doing this on an 07 apex gt and 07 rtx. any input would be great thanks.

My buddy bought an attack that had a 1.5" ripsaw and studs on it with 8 t drivers instead of the stock9t.Some one made some steel plates that boldted to the stock drop brackets to lower the skid for more clearance. The frontholes where not lowered.
