Hygear did my shock new springs (dual rate spring kit) when I got it reinstalled when sitting on the sled there was a 3 inch drop compared to not sitting which I read is normal. Will the springs settle in?> I put on about 700km recently and notice it sitting a little lower. I may need to bring the spring up a little because of sag right? is 3-4 inch drop when sitting on the machine the recommended thing or does someone have a different better idea/setting?

3" sounds like too much to me. You need to check your set-in, measure the total length of the spring(s) on your main shock both with the suspension hanging and with you sitting on it with gear on (have someone help you obviously). The difference should be between 40 and 45 mm if I remember correctly. I have the ohlins ec with hygear's dual rate as well and just got done setting it up. To adjust the preload up or down, loosen both set screws on the adjusting collars and turn the large knurled collar to increase or decrease the preload.
I had to tighten mine up after I installed it, it came way too soft from Hygear.
