Dual Shock

Just bought an 09 FX 121 from the original owner with just a couple hundred miles on it. Came from a Viper. Wifes got an 07 Phazer FX.

Original owner didnt know much about it as he bought it rather impulsively not considering he didnt have much time to ride.

Sticker on the tunnel says dual shock. I looked under there. Nothing appears to be any different than any other rear suspension I have seen in the past?

I noticed that the back of my tunnel looks different than many others I see posted here. Its almost as if they forgot to finish it. The Phazer has the end of it bent up at 45 exposing much more of the rear side view of the suspension. This Nytro looks kinda retarded that way. Have some here did something with this?

Nytro is alot bigger than the Phazer when they sit side by side. I was under the impression the Nytro was based on the Phazer platform. I dont see any interchangeble parts.

Hope I like this. Loved the Phazer but it was a little under powered. Hoping we have the perfect man/wife pair. Cant wait for snow.

Sounds like you got the base Nytro of 2009, maybe RTX. These sleds have the older style tunnel found on the 08s as well, looks odd to me. Don't know if you can do anything about it though. The newer style tunnels came out in 09 with the RTX SE and was standard on all Nytros after that.

No interchangeable parts between the Nytros and Phazers as far as I am aware of. The power is there...wait and see.

XTX got the new higher cut tunnel in 2009 also.
Dual shock sticker... It's kinda mute.
When the Nytro came out they wanted to say "Hey we got a skid that's just like the others." A shock on the front arm and a shock on the back arm.

Ha. Glad to see the Yami folks have a sense of humor.

Cant wait to ride this thing. Gotta be a huge step up in ride compared to that lumber wagon Viper I had. I cant believe anyone could ride that thing all day without a chiropractor in the family.

If you thought the Viper was a lumber wagon, the Nytro is going to be even worse. But hey, Nytros are awesome sleds, and you won't regret the purchase. Little shock valving, maybe some springs, belly full of brewskis, you be riding a cadillac! If the belly is full of brewskis though, please don't squeeze the throttle more than a 1/4". The motor has a ton of power, and goes slow enough for me in that condition.
