They stop most darting. Must have on both skis. I love them!

- None, looking now!
I run the duallies as well. I will probably never go to a single runner again. They work well and last a long time. The set I have now has about 1500 miles on them and they still are in great shape. I have ran some dry pavement with these, but are still in great shape. If you normally run say an 8" carbine, go with a 6" dually.

Love my doolies....have had them on several Poo's. Now my Vector has 'em. Darting? = GONE!
Some say they scrub off top speed due to increased drag....yea I can see that. Some say they make the sled push more....yea I can say I agree with that.
SOme say the Stud Boy Shaper Bars are better than the doolies...I'm gonna try a set of them....probby next year.....might get new skis first bcause I don't like the way my skis steer.

I hate duallys period! Completely reduce darting. Completely reduce cornering also. If you are just a trail cruiser, go for them. If you are somewhat aggressive or hide hard, forget them. My choice would be Sharer Bars for studboy. They have had a decent affect on the reduced darting as well as cornering is point on. The have a deeper profile which lets them cut lower into the snow which helped out the darting. The do not seem to increase the steering effort either.
just my $.02

Dog - this is the exact reason I want to try S'boys Shaper Bars. When the doolies are new, the cornering is just OK, but once they wear, forget it! I guess different ski's will help this too, but cost lots more $$!

I also was happy with duallies on my POO'S, most of the time. Last season put them on our two Rages and had no darting in some conditions , but bad in certain snow conditions.
I noticed that Poo's leave a dually track almost all the time , but Yamaha only leaves a dual track at very low speed and at higher speeds it leaves a wider plow mark.
Upon measuring - Poo duallies are 1 1/2" wide[ 3/4" between runners], Yamaha are 1 1/4" wide [ 1/2" between runners] to fit the ski keel. Most snow is just not stable enough to hold at 1/2" wide, plus at times I had stones and or mud frooze in between.
This year on 1st ride I had darting so I decided to modify a set of duallies.
I have all the equipment, welder grinders ,etc. so I widened a set[a lot of work] . Made them 1 5/8" wide and 7/8' in between. 920 miles on them and no darting in any conditions to date. Next I widened my wifes duallies , 1 3/4" wide , 1" in between and she has had no darting in approx. 400 miles.
These mod. duallies leave dually tracks at all speeds and another good point is steering [less push] seems much better. They are wider than Yamaha's 1 1/4" keel so ground them abit , but they still look funny, yet we don't seem to have any bad effects.
I guess the best for people without welder ,etc. is to buy a set of ski's that have two separate runners [I still think one should be able to run the ski's they come with]. In the future I will probably buy single carbides and build my own duallies or modify a set of Poo duallies.
Now I will be able to work on the handling.
P.S. I also had shims, which I have now cut to less than 1/8'. Could probably remove them except that the ski rubbers are likely squashed some.

WOW. I never have an issue corning and I am no sloutch either. My sled rails the curves. I guess each to their own. lol.
Hey Undecided, did it look like I was sliding around corners? lol
I never did look at the woodies site for their reccomendations. I had baught these because the place didn't have anything else for my sled up north so I baught them. I usually ran 8", but these 6" duallies did a great job.
As a matter of fact, my sled at the time was a 121 RTX with 192 1.375 in it. I now have a 136" with 144 1.375's in the track and the same runners are awsome. I will end up going to an 8" dually when these go out though. I have a longer track, so I should accomendate for it.

I agree that yours will handle well. The harder one rides the less you notice darting.
We offen ride all day and probably much slower than the younger crowd and darting tires me out and the women even more. Now with no darting I'm sure I can get the handling alot better , as before I reduced handling to reduce darting.
