Hey, i've got a female passenger on my 09 xtx last night and noticed that in big bumps the rear suspension got all the way in whcih is pretty hard for the back.
put the side spring on the hardest setting (it was on medium) and it still would do it.
are there any adjustments on the dualshock ?? or maybe it needs to be rebuilt???
can it be rebuilt?? or maybe i should fiddle with the shock in front on the skid instead??
i'm lost here,..

try adjusting the compression clicker (stiffer) on the rear shock, it should help. if you ride 2up on a regular basis, you can buy HD springs to compensate for additional weight..... run them soft for solo riding and click it stiffer for 2up riding.
hope this helps.........cheers

How many miles on the sled? If she is a few years old with some miles the shocks probably require a service.

Ok i went to take a look at this closer..
the shock i'm talking about is that thing with 2 extending shaft coming out and grease nipples on it.. i don't think this is a shock.. since the're supposed to be 2 shocks in the rear i assume the last one isin't one. so the middle one has a clicker adjustement.. when i turn the dial in all the way vs. the dial all the way out i see a diffrence so the shock seems good... hard to tell for the first one though... either way it's not the source of my bottoming out.
also noticed that the springs are bent funny ....the long part i mean... either modified or from another sled... the previous owner had dialed the suspension ultra soft and had star suspension revalved front shocks. when i picked it up it was like riding on a cloud.. but it could turn at all. and the springs were on the softest settings..
so my 2 cents is.... the previous owner swapped out the springs from another sled to get a softer ride. if i ride 2 i'm gonna need new sprngs and heavy duty ones.. and just set it on the softest setting when solo riding
so the only question remaing is there another adjustement on both those shocks oether than the clicker dial on the second one ???

If they are the stock shocks you should take a look at your manual or find it online. There is a lot of info out there about setup. You will have to familiarize yourself with the suspension on the Nytro. It can be tricky to get it right but you can do it. Figure it out, because it sounds like the previous owner spent some serious $ on it.
