When I bought my 06 apex it had a broken ebrake cable and it had been taken off the sled. Got a new one. Put it on. and I cant seem to get it to work.. Adusted it at the caliper thing for the ebrake both ways.. neither, when the ebrake is engaged will hold the rotor.. Is it possible that i'm missing something? or is it possible that the caliper deal for the ebrake is shot?.. any help would be great.. thanks rocky

Its fairly common for the brake pads to wear on the Apex parking brakes. When they do, typically you can't adjust the brake cable enough to make it work.

I posted on another thread how to compensate for worn parking brake pads. Try searching for it.

Basically you can remove the pads and swap them around and you can unscrew the "piston" and re-install it with the lead screw advanced one tooth. Using the combination of those, you should be able to find a setup that works.

Also, make sure the parking brake caliper is floating freely and not binding as well as making sure the rotor itself isn't too loose (causing it to rub against the pads). Both of these cause the pads to wear down.
