I couldnt find any info on dropping the slide rail wheel to the lower hole for deeper snow. For anyone wanting to do it at home, i found an easy way.
Someone on here suggested they had to loosened the track tension and flip off the springs etc…I didnt want to do that, So, after jacking the track up and popping the bolts out, the spring tension kept the wheel pulled back from lining it up with the lower hole. I took a small come-a-long, as you can see in the picture with the red arrows, from the bracket on the spring side to a cross member on the front of the track frame. VERY little pressure was needed to move it, so there was zero risk of bending anything, but more pressure was needed than you could do by hand. After a few clicks of the come-a-long, the hole perfectly lined itself up, surprisingly.
I hope this helps someone who may want to try it themselves.
The frame jacked up looks better to me and I would imagine the few inches lift would help in deeper powder and sagging from heavy loads, which according to the service manual, the hole was intended for.
