Hole to plug....may be the cause of the wet foot

At zero miles I pluged up the hole in the pics below,,,this hole is open to the track and heat exchanger...lots of water would come in here. If ya cant find the spot take a flashlight and shine it inside the tunnel towards the clutch area you'll see the light coming thru...dry left foot ever since
