ECP/Dynarex dyno crankcase evac test session

I was also wondering if the chances if freezing up the breather hose would be reduced. I have holes cut in my breather hose right below the K&N to pervent the problem that rx-coyboy had becuase the dealer who repaired his sled did it to mine.

SLICING THE HOSE IS A BAND AID FIX
YOU NEED TO EVACUATE THE CRANKCASE TOO
NOT JUST WORRY ABOUT FREEZE UPS-WHERE DO YOU THINK ALL THAT WATER ENDS UP AFTER IT MELTS IN THE HOSE-IN THE CRANKCASE

Although I would concur with Dynarex, here is a little more info:

ECP is a K&N filter kit that Freddie at http://www.easterncycleperf.com sells; I don't believe he has info on the kit on this website but it will have contact info. This kit will replace your stock air box. The total kit comes with 2 - K&N filters (one for two carbs), 4 - 165 main jets, and 4 - Holtzman silver slide springs. It also comes with a crankcase K&N filter but would highly recommend doing the EVAC instead which would not require this filter. You can also get pre-filters for the K&N filters to block snow (i.e when riding when snowing, riding behind someone, or busting drifts). I think the total kit is around $250 US but with not needing the crankcase filter, the price might be more like $235-240 US. Contact Freddie, as I am sure others would agree, he is great to guy to talk with and do business with :!:

Look to the top for Search.

Double click and then search for ECP.

Hope you got some time. You are gonna be reading for awhile.

its basically an air filter (k/n)setup with different slide springs and jets
the power improvement is amazing-there are tons of posts on it-ive had the pleasure of meeting freddie and testing my sled on the dyno with him-and have come up with a crankcase evacuation kit to use with these filters
contact freddie for the filter kit and myself for the evac kit

DYNAREX: Several guys in our group are interested in the ECP system and your evacuation system. I am the only one who does their own work and dodn't want to take on a major project and be stuck with all of the other related putzing around.

How long does it take to install the entire system?

Can you recomend any one in WI that could do the work on 5 sleds?

IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE MECH APTITUDE WHICH IM ASSUMING YOU DO BECAUSE YOU ARE ON THIS SITE-IT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR EACH-PROVIDING YOU CAN GET THOSE DAMN CARB BOWL SCREWS OUT!
THE EVAC KIT IS A 5 MINUTE DEAL AND ALL YOU NEED FOR THAT IS A 10MM WRENCH AND 7/8 DRILL BIT
VERY EASY VERY SATISFYING WORTH EVERY PENNY
TRY MATT AT THE SPEEDSHOP I THINK HE IS IN YOUR AREA AS IM IN NEW YORK

I'm interested in this kit for my Warrior! What would I expect in horsepower, acceleration, fuel mileage gains, If my Warrior is stock clutching?
HOW DOES THIS KIT AFFECT THE TOP END OF THE MACHINE?

Thanks :D

see posts prev by supertuner and myself
hp is about 4-5 throughout
torque increase is amazing-like 20lb/ft at the clutch in the midrange rpms
acceleration is unbelievable mpg have actually gone up -but thats more of a clutching issue
top speed should be about the same maybe a little faster
highly suggest clutch work to take advantage of power increase

If clutching was left stock and the ECP kit was added how would you compare the two in a side by side race? I'm talking about comparing a stock Warrior to an ECP equipped one!
