Well, I tested the epc filter kit today. I set up three cones on a lake. The first was at about 660ft, the second at 1/4 mile and the third at 1/2 mile. Now I do not have any tree timers of course but here at my results. First I ran the sled stock (192 studs, Needle raised one clip) through the cones, on the speedo I was reading 96MPH passing the first cone, 115 passing the second and 124 passing the third. After installing the filter kit and raising the needles all the way (to help the mid range lean spot I was felling) it went like this. 1st cone 104, the second 122 the third 128. Then I took it out on the trail. This is where I feel the greatest increase was encountered. I really pulls hard from corner to corner. I am going to try 170 and 175 mains because I feel it is lean on top. I am at about 1000 feet here in Minnesota. Love the sound!

I have told people that these filters made a more dramatic performance increase on my Warrior than Heavy Hitters made on my RX-1 and they look at me like I'm stoned

RX Buck...Like I said on the phone to you today...you are now going faster for sure but the dramatic improvement will really show up in Elapsed Time. Basically you are going faster in less time.

My personal opinion is that to go a LOT faster in a NA state at the 1/2 mile mark, you will need a larger carburetor and a larger intake port (cylinder head porting) to really see a major gain in a long distance like a 1/2 mile.

I agree that richening your main jet will help. The fuel demands to sustain a speed once that speed is achieved is quite the task.

Glad you are happy. 8)
