I installed my ECP filter kit the other night along with the crank filter, pre filters and special plugs, 165 mains and silver springs. I also made a bracket to mount my crankcase breather off the fuel pump, looks and functions sweet.

Before I did the job I read the directions and it is recomended to sync the carbs after the installation of the filters. A week before I did the filter job I snyced the carbs and I figured why do it again becasue it does take time. Well I completed the filter install and it fired right up and ran pretty smooth so I figured I'm ready to ride so I went for a spin and it ran great and I feel the improvement in low and mid. I figured I'd snyc the carbs after the ride. Wholly crap the carbs were way off now. I think with the messing around with the carb rack and jetting changes and air flow changes the carbs got out of sync. I then took it for another ride and man the thing is even smoother and really rips. I feel it was money well spent.

Make sure you snyc the carbs after the filter install.

I let my friend take it for a rip and he said. She is defenitley faster then his stock 2004 RX shorty.

By the way I have the stage 1 and 2 clutch kits and Dayco ultimax 3 belt. Low speed slippage gone. Going to a Ulimax 3 belt you have to adjust the ride height on your secondary because the dayco belt is a little longer. Tom Hartman says this allows the Yamaha primary to get the belt higher on the primary. He's right, I used a black maker and marked my primary and it does ride up higher at full shift out. THATS MORE POWER AND TOP END.
