If you run NOS for any length of time do you find
1) Spark plug problems
2) Overheating
3) Burnt out head gaskets or pistons

or any other detrimental signs of wear on a 4 stroke engine.

I worry about 1 cylinder running hotter than another as well?

Thanks for input

I will let you know after the end of this year, last winter was AWESOME with the Holtzman wet system on my RX-1.
I have a spare new sytem, 45 hp complete if you want it.

As long as the engine is running good, and have had no problems with bad plugs, oil burning, or detonation, nitrous will not affect any part of the engine. But to add, the nitrous system must not have any mistakes when installing, or not adjusted correctly. I ran roughly 50 lbs. of nitrous thru my 05 RX1 to date, and absolutely no problems. This is from 3,000 miles on trails, and roughly 4-5 months of tearing up the asphalt. My 03 had roughly 40-50 lbs. put to it also, and still runs great, with no oil burning, or engine noise. The 05 has (2) 40 horse nozzles on it right now.

Terry on a scale nof 1 to 10 what would you say is the intsall difficulty? And have heard any info from holtzman on a apex kit?
Mark

I heard Boss Noss kit was fairly easy to install, but haven't installed one. The Holtzman kit is easy with most, but the place to mount solonoids can be a chore to find room. I took awhile to install my system, cause I wanted to have a nice look. I would consider any nitrous hookup to be a 5-6 for a beginner, and a 2-3 for an expert.

Hope to work with Barry soon, and come up with the easiest way for installation.

I have better instructions from Barry already. Anyone can do this is under an hour. My 9 yr old want to do it for me. DO NOT SWEAT IT.

If it helps, here is a picture of Nos-Pro's installation on his 05 RX-1 taken during the TY Manitoba ride. ;)!

WOW thats a little bold  was hoping to fly in stealth mode for a while anyway and just take some credit for a excellent clutch set-up LOL.

His installation is in stealth mode from the outside. It sounds and looks like a stock RX-1. The only noticable thing from the outside is a little black "happy button" on the left side of the handlebar. At a pit stop, he will open the hood. You think he is just checking on something, but he is turning the screw on the bottle. Then he is gone!

Kbxsrx is temp a concern?how are bottles kept warm? Is this a factor on the trail all day?If you have a 40hp how do you clutch so the sled is still performing strong when NOS is not in use?

for mine in the mountains, I clutched normal, then when I was slowing down or wanting to do a high speed pass on the trail, I hit the button. My application is for powder and climbing, if yours is on the trail it would likely even be easier. Temp never seemed to matter, I didnt have any troubles at all. (wet system)

SOMEONE BUY THIS 2ND NOS KIT PLEASE!!!

Mark - just paint the bottle stealth black....................JK

I put it there so it would be easy to change, and refill. Can do it just under 2 minutes. Only takes 30 seconds to fill the bottle.

Terry is your's mounted in the same spot?
I could also paint the tank yellow and claim to scuba dive when the urge hits me?lol
How about clutching?

Mark, that is mine. That is where I have the bottle mounted, right above the valve cover.

I kept clutching at 9,800-10,000 without the nitrous. On the juice, it went to 10,600
