EGT gauge=melt meter.
You need a wideband AF meter to correctly tune your sled. Personally for a NA sled I'd just go off of what other people are doing for your configuration, and by reading your plugs.

EGT gauge are good if you start running alot of timing or lack of. The best method of tunning is means of a wide band. good 1200-1300 max

EGTs are not worth anything in my eyes! JUNK!!
I bought a set for my SRX back in the day frist pass on the lake the gage said my motor should melt down any sec! But rode the sled for two years be for putting on the gage.
Put a set on my Allison drag boat. Same thing said i was way way lean, so i had a adj ecm on that motor tuned it so temps were in the safe zone. Boat was so fat it would not even clean out!!
