I am sorry to report reading several sources reporting El Ninio in the Pacific. So either they are wrong and we get our north shore snow or I meet up with with the TY guys in the UP either way I am still planing on a fun winter!!

Those idiots cannot forecast tomorrows weather let alone what this winter will bring. Last year all we heard about was how much snow we were supposed to get and almost could not ride in the UP until January!!!!

I agree X2. Hopefully there is no meteorologist on TY? :dunno: If so we are just teasing you.... :hide: We love the forecasts!

Michigan thrives on winter tourism from skiers and snowmobiles etc. Ever winter our forecast seams to be cookie cutter in favor of winter sports. Lots of Snow on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Mild and Clear for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I guess that makes the downstaters feel safer when driving north for the weekend  Maybe our meteorologist is in bed with the tourism bureau?:D

Maybe El nincompoop!

I now have my financial advisor forecast the weather and the local weather man do my financial plans it seems to work out better that way. Although the weather man forecasted it to rain dollars and the financial guy told me to open another account to store all the snow I would accumulate. :ban:

I was a Meteorologist, turned Air Traffic Controller, and now retired. Funny, I went from a job where I could be wrong 50% of the time! to a job where I had to be right 100% of the time. That being said, I still forecast my own weather, and also forecast for my friends for special events. Not to toot my own horn, but I do a great job of weather forecasting, especially in our Central NY Winters , with our Lake Ontario snow belts.

I am making a choice to have a plan either way-right or wrong-I am going to have a great winter sledding.
Hope to see you TYers in thevUP as a choice not a crowded necessity.
