Paging Ms. La Niña, Ms. La Niña pickup line 998....

Congrats on your retirement:)

The riding conditions aren't much better in most of Canada either. In North Western Ontario we have already been out more then last year though but very few trails are groomed and open. The safety of the lakes in our area is late as well although good and flat now for fishing and riding but not for trucks and groomers.
I live on the lake and the sled traffic is way down compared to normal. I have not trailered my sleds for many years as I just ride from the house which really spoils you. I only use my enclosed trailer for storing two of the sleds in the summer.
We had a big multi day rain event just prior to the New Year that normally would have been one to two feet of snow and that would have given us a normal amount of snow.

The winter is not over yet so hopefully things will improve.

Hopefully the " missing trails" will return soon. OFSC really messed up on their silly electronic owner permissions stuff.

On that map I'm directly west of Toronto closer to lake huron and it's feeling like an old fashion winter, lots of snow and trails continue to open.

Eastern Ontario is just one big red blob :(.

450 miles based out of Munising early last week. Brought the SW but rode the 850. Trails were great with plenty of snow east and south.

Rode Upper michigan(western) this weekend. Pretty much trash with zero base. Seems as though the standards for ridable trails has dropped significantly(IMO nothing is worth riding in my area). Friday was 38 and soft mashed potatoes. Saturday was dirt brown snow(rocks coming up on trail 2) and ROUGH. Lake Gogebic is very flat and fast. Watch out for expansion cracks!. I would be very careful riding hard at night right now on Lake Gogebic.

They will need it. We went up trail 1 to Bergland. Its OKAY. little rocky/rough. They were getting some snow on Saturday when we were out on the lake. Its just everything is so run down and the base is thin from the most traffic I have EVER seen in 11 years around my area. Not saying its un rideable but I will not be riding until they get at least a foot of snow(les) or 6-8 of system snow. The base is just not their. Im sure some were on decent trails for some stretches but its THIN. Im heading up Next week Wednesday or Thursday early and I will be taking chainsaws not sleds. Not seeing anything for snow that will help the trails by me.. If your wanting to ride I think you need to be north of Bergland even. WAY more snow the further you go NORTH of HWY 2. As soon as you start going south of HWY 2 it gets really thin. Have no idea how Vilas is open. Northern Vilas(manitowish waters) by me has maybe 6" snow. Gas stations sold concrete

Well I guess there’s always some lakes to play around on with some good stop's to stool up for a break

Snow down south again and still have none in Southern MN. Cold and no snow, this is getting real old.

NOLA with 9" and Pensacola FL with 6", so unreal that the're getting hit with snow and us in the northern states are not. So backwards.

Sorry to hear that.
It was -14 for the high today and I drove across fields covered in snow and deep powder like I haven't done for many years.
To be honest I can't remember for sure when it was this good.

At least someone's gettin' it...enjoy

Gonna be up at gogebic area tomorrow with dooz z tomorrow and minocqua area on Saturday if any of you wanna tip a few

We continue to get dumped on, this may be the most in 30 years or more. I had to dig an old honda snowblower with tracks out of storage and purchase a second to blow snow off the barn roof. Two neighbours had roofs collapse this wee, one a barn, the other a ten year old shed.

And yet we continue to get missed. It goes north of us and south of us. I haven’t turned a track in two seasons yet. If it keeps up I’ll need to make a trip somewhere to get some riding in.
