I have a 2004 RX Warrior. It started to run rough and clear itself out again. Now its doing it permanently. It seems to crap out and backfire and miss when it gets up to about 6500 rpm. It will still rev out till about 9500rpm but running real rough. I have changed the plugs in the fall and someone said they could be fouled. I need help figuring this out

Check plugs, then coils for arcing, then carbs if all else fails.

Mine started doing the same thing this past weekend in the UP, I changed the plugs but no change, that got me thinking fuel problem, none of the plugs seemed fouled so I started playing with the choke, sure enough with the choke about a 1/8-1/4 on the miss disappeared, idled a bit rough like that but good enough to finish the day of riding. What that tells me is a jet is plugged and it's missing due to lack of fuel in the 0-1/4 throttle range. I'm going to pull the carbs this weekend. Might want to play with yours to narrow down your problem a bit more.

Matches my symptoms last year. I had to pull and clean the carb bank.
