Have a problem that the engine dies at stop signs. Turn off ignition, then starts right up. Runs good at all speeds. Plugs look good, exhaust donuts are good. Sled has 17,000 miles. Thanks for any help.

You might need to check your idle solenoid. You can check it in diagnostic mode. Here is a link to a post Grizz sent out.

I had this happen last year on a trip in upper up. dropped it off at pats Yamaha they found a bare wire grounding out on the frame. sled would run good but when you stopped it would die and start right up again

There's been several threads about bare or rubbing wire harnesses, and I've had the issue myself. Check the harness near the front of the engine on the clutch side, and the area where it passes by the handlebars at the top of the gas tank. Might not be very easy to spot, and you might have to strip back the harness wrap and check the individual wires, but most have been in those two areas.

Low on oil? That will shut it down coming to an idle.

Intake leaks sometimes cause this in vehicles.
