I have a boondocker turbo kit with the GT28rs, 9:1 pistons, and rods. Is anybody running the 28rs? How many pounds of boost can you get out of this thing?

What weight engine oil is everybody running? Synthetic?

What octane do I need to run for max boost on the 28rs? I tried the calculator on the sticky but don't know how to figure my engine VE. I am thinking of running straight Sunoco 110 but don't know if the leaded fuel will ruin my AFR gauge.

This is my first year going 4-stroke and I need all the help I can get! ;)!

with 9:1 pistons you should be able to run 25 lbs boost on strait 110, which is usually about 105 motor octane, and the gt28rs should be able to make 25lbs. but I think you will find you don,t need that much most of the time, 14 to 18 lbs will do about anything for normal every day boonedocking and hill climbing, and you can run that on 50/50 mix of premium and 110.

Thanks Snowy1. What engine oil are you running?

I have been running yamaha semi sinthetic, I am going to run castrol GTX for the first few hundred miles after reringing it this summer,I want to be sure the rings seat good,

I don't think you can get much over 17 lbs boost on the stock injectors

I am running the 03 RX-1 so I won't be worried about injectors.
