Euro tail light

Did my conversion today. Snipped out the red domes inside the lens, installed the 1157 LED's with some silicone around the rim where they seal, reinstalled and was very happy with the result. They look perfectly clear when they are off but blast you with red when they are on. Total shop time...45 minutes. Thanks Cubby, you da man!

Found this guy here in Brampton,Ont. called MOTOLED corportion.
custom makes clear tail light leds with led in side the leds.
For my 03 RX1 used fatory wires just take off the red one
and add the clear one that easy $100.00 cash.

I actually E mailed the site Chubby got his from yesterday asking when they would be back in stock and they had ONE left so I went ahead and ordered it. Looks like the ebay one is almost the same thing.
Hey Chubby...by the way...did you paint the trim piece around your tail lite blue? Looks like it in the picture when I clicked on it to make it larger to look at your lense closer.

So you ran that tail lite lense with the regular bulbs in there before you punched out the red and ran the LED's? All my stuff is on the way for that mod. When the heck we gonna see ALL of that sled???

Soon bro, very soon. All I got left is getting this artist dude to finish his work on the hood. Then I clear coat it and then I will be able to give ya a better look.

Hey guys....UPDATE. I love the look of my clear lens but do any of you have problems with it fogging up on the inside?

If not, what did you do to prevent it? I am pretty sure mine is sealed up pretty good so I am wondering if I should maybe open up a few areas to allow more air to get in/out?

Any ideas?

Yep Mine does fog up somewhat. I think it has something to do with the heat from the exhaust and cold snow spraying up on it. My stock tail light did it too but it wasn't as noticable as the clear one. After a ride and a night in my garage the clear one is all clear once again...............Cubby
