So along with my other 10 problems I also have a ripped limiter strap, has anyone else ripped one like this, and how does it happen, I can't see it rubbing anywhere maybe I am to hard of a rider for this machine? Also the other limiter strap is wearing at the bottom from coming in contact with the track lugs, would adding bigger washers keep it from sliding along the shaft and contacting the lugs?

Mine busted last year, but I can't remember where exactly they broke.

Buy some extra straps from Royal Distributing and do the double strap fix.
It works, read the thread in the FAQ.

Thanks Mach9 I will look into that, I didn't know the Royal sold limiter straps for this sled, that would be cool if they did as the stealership wants $65 a strap.

I don't think Royal has OEM style straps for the nytro.
They are a special hour glass cut shape.
But the cheap straps are nice to have for doubling up.
And you could always buy an extra set of long ones, lay out your good strap as a template over them and make your own OEM style.

Both limiter straps on my 2009 XTX tore in the same place and I ended up breaking both straps. The 2009 models had an issue with this.

I went to a farm supply store like Fleetfarm and bought a section of roundbailer belt for under $5. It's the same material as the limiter straps but at a fraction of the cost. You will need to cut them to size and add holes in the right places.

That's a good idea! Thanks I could probably use my stud drill for the holes.

One more quick question, my left limiter strap is ripping at the bottom because it is rubbing the track, maybe my track is not aligned properly? When you guys align your track where are you measuring to make sure its centered properly?

Ideally I think you're suppose to make sure the hyfax is centered in the windows of your track. I basically just measure the threads from the adjusters to make sure both sides are adjusted the same and then I measure up the rear wheels to the edge of the track and just get as close as you can.

I first count the threads, then hoist the sled up and run it, making sure it runs true.
