09 xtx LIMITER STRAP

so i was doing my routine DE-ICING of the tunnel before a ride when i noticed under the skid my left limiter strap is torn right off!!!!!!!!!!!, its near the bottom of the strap about an 1" up. i have NO IDEA when this happened or how it happened or how long its been like this?????. it literally is torn and the long part still hanging and in tact from the top bolt, it never just "lost the bolt" and came loose, its ripped???


anyone??, how the heck could this happen?, they are REALLY strong NO??, i was all the way out on the strap too (loose) and my front shock is TIGHT, not quite all the way but close, how/why, wouldn't they both break???..could i have done damage to anything else by breaking this??????...nothing else on sled suspicious BUT im looking at it ALL again tonight in detail.

Maybe your's folded forward and the drivers caught it.

There are more than one fix guys are trying.
Most are adding an extra strap to the front side.
One other post I saw one guy was trying steel belted type.
