Why the straight rails? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the XTX? Just curious, not givin ya a hard time or anything!
rails
I never liked the stamped steel bracket at the tip up. It looked weak to me from day 1. I was jealous of the webbed look of the Arcitc Cat mountain sleds and the Polaris Assualt rail.
I later heard from HyGear they were twisting the rails in testing and then on this forum I heard a case of a guy bending them.
I tried to get rails designed with a beefier tail piece and a tip up. I was hoping to get the rails machined with the tip up. It turns out ICEAGE would need to put a rail in a press to achieve the tip up just like the factory did. This would require smaller material at the tail just like the factory. I really wanted to achieve a stronger better looking rail.
After talking to a few people and thinking about it a lot, I decided to make a compromise. I think it will marginally lose handling but will add some stability and possibly some more traction.
It will be fun to see what happens.

Hey leeko hows it going your sled is going to look great with those black rails. I am suppose to get mine this week, went with red. Did your rails come with new bump stops, hifax and end caps like most other packages they sell? I was just wondering.
Hey Booxr. I am pretty excited about how they look. They came with a center bump stop and hyfax, you have to use the front bump stop and tips from the old rails. I think the bump stop is 1/8" low on a quick measurement. I will tighten that measurment up and shim it if off.
Post some pics, I look forward to seeing how your sled comes out.

Wow those look really good where are they from and what is the price. I believe I would take a set for sure.
Tapp1,
I am not done working on it, I haven't installed the rails yet.
booxr800,
