excel header into stock exhaust?

I thought I read that it worked to run the excel header into the stock exhaust but I picked up a excel header and it is something like 2 inches longer and dumps into the middle of the tunnel so it won't work with the stock muffler as far as I can tell.

Am I missing something here? Does excel make two different headers possibly or did I just get ripped off cause I bought it on ebay. Appreciate any help. Thanks!

yes...they make a header to the side which dumps into a stock exhaust muffler (or one that is designed the same i.e. aaen,mbrp,hauck silencers)
and a center dump which is ONLY designed for the excell silencer...

however...you can run other "shotgun" style silencers like a yoshi or hindle or any other shotgun pipe..

haha ebay-maybe. I'd say keep everything (somewhat) loose until it fits into the silencer and bolts up.If not get the sawsall out and go to it. Is it upside down? I haven't installed one of these but i'm just picturing it in my head.

How many miles on it... Maybe call Aaron and make a trade for one that runs to the stock exhaust....

farmer...any center slip on would work...Ive seen some on ebay cheap that must be the same silencer as the hauck husher I ran...called a fireball muffler...go to haucks website and look at the husher pic...then go to ebay and lookup fireball...get a couple stainless band clamps at napa, and fab a little bracket for the big clamp to hold the muffler to and viola~ system complete....for around 70.00-80.00

yeah I know I could get it to work with a after market muffler but I really want to keep the muffler stock. I've had problems with the dnr before running canisters and I don't want to always be worrying about it. Especially if I have a couple drinks in me...last thing I need is more attention.

The header is brand new, zero miles. I threw away the box, so all I have is the header pipe.
