I'll be changing my exhaust donuts this summer to copper ones, just wondering while I have my exhaust out if the Excell header is worth the $450 price tag. I am happy with the performance of my Vector now, but will likely be dropping a tooth on the top gear (20T from 21). Any opinions or experience? Seems from the dyno charts the header creates more hp and torque on the top end at the expense of low end and mid-range power. Not sure if that's a good thing.

I think I've already talked myself out of it. A 5% increase in hp isn't worth the cost. 10% increase maybe. My previous sled, 7 years ago, was a Cat 600 twin with a 711cc big bore kit. I do believe my Vector pulls harder than my old mod sled.

I can't comment on the header, but I can about the gearing...I put a 20 tooth top gear in my 08 vector Ltx gt and love it! I haven't run it against another sled to compare but it feels like it accelerates better and more in the mid range. One of my best buddies has the same sled, I will have to try against him, lol

1 tooth didn't require a new chain. I will let you know if I get a chance to line up with my buddy!
