Hello,
2020 SRX , always leaking oil, appears to be over pressurized oil tank.
Why do I have so much pressure in my oil tank? I took the cap off and its blowing air at idle. Imagine how much it must be pressurizing tank WOT. What causes this and what do I do about it?
Thanks

It’s normal for the pressure to be there. If you look at the top of the tank there is a vent line. In that vent line is the rollover valve. It prevents oil from coming out in the event of a roll over. Sometimes this valve will freeze and over pressurize the tank causing the seal or gasket to blow out, creating a leak. Some people are deleting this valve. You will likely need to reseal your tank.

I think if you read some of this, you'll understand how to repair.

Getting rid of the roll over valve
This is what I’ve done to get rid of the problematic valve. Just a hardware store 5/8" ID hose wrapped with foil heat tape, looped it up and over down to under the running board. Let bottom hang and inch or two below the board. You can see how much blowby you have also. I plugged the line where...

I remember a few years back a few oil tanks came out the assembly line with no opening on the top. Idk
