Hi Guys,
Well, I'm a Cat convert. I am going from my first sled ever; (2004 F-6 efi sno-pro) p.o.s. to an Apex Gt. ......... P.S. I broke my F-6 in 1/2 They said I stood up too much and rode it too aggresively...What...Sno-pro...What.... #*$&@ box......... never buy a cat again.
Not only have I not seen the sled that I have purchased sight unseen. But I find myself looking to dump even more than the 10K into it. My question is this when the sled arrives and I polish the Bar riser and the circular collar around it I then need to have the exhaust covers chromed. Are they plastic or aluminum?? Can they be polished or chromed??? Does anyone sell aftermarket colored or chrome or carbon fiber ones???

The rear exaust covers are plastic. So is the round collar at the base of the Handlebar riser.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input. Any aftermarket ones out there?? If not sounds like an opportunity right.
Also I was thinking of building my own exhaust with a custom exhaust guy I know. If I use a motorcycle style slip on ( Yoshimura, Devil, Graves Akropovic) or a " cherry bomb" and have it exit through the stock outlets it should work good but I'm skeptical and weary about having to re-map the ignition for a pipe. I want to here it a little more but not be ridiculous. Anyone else here thinking of toyimg with or making there own pipe??

Yes he has a bunch of plastic going out for chromeing ie exhaust covers etc there is a post on this either here lowerr or in lounge
