I have a 2006 apex and I have replaced 1 donuts gasket and then 400 miles later I had to do another. I rode another 800 miles and I had to replace a Y-pipe. I rode another 800 miles and put it away for the season, but when I started it in my trailer, I have either another Y-pipe out or donut out again. What is going on with my sled? Is there a chance I had a broken motor mount and the engine is twisting too much? I hope someone can shed some light on the issue....

Excessive engine twist would also wreck the drive belt. Unless you are also wearing out belts, that can pretty much be ruled out.

I would suspect hardware or technique error...

When you say "1 donuts gasket" are you really meaning just one... or one set of all four?

Usually when the donuts go... all will need changing... maybe you overlooked the others....??

Typically the right side will be the worst, but defiantly change all 4, inspect y pipes, inspect 4 flex pipes for cracks, and make sure all clamps tighten properly. Everything has to line up and seal properly.

Thanks,
I'll check all of your suggestions. There was't any wear on the excessive wear on the drive belt. When I said 1 donut, I cheanged both donuts on the right side Y-pipe. I suspect that I have a cracked left Y-pipe this time. I replaced the right side Y-pipe already.

check out my recent post on the subject

check out my suggestions on the donut issue on the most recent post on the subject where to buy copper donuts

Also Its best to swap the titanium y pipes for stainless ones. I had to do that on my RX1 and my Attak. Ive never cracked a stainless Y pipe only titaniums.

The RX1 y pipes dont fit Apex , there is an updated part number just for apex, attak.
