Working on the sled today decided to tear it down to have a look at the exhaust donuts. After tear down the donuts are still good but noticed that 2 of the flex joints are broke. I tried to remove the 10mm bolts that hold the flex joints to the head and didn't have much luck, just tried using a 3/8 ratchet with and extension and universal so far to get at them. I didn't want to break them so I didn't force them anymore then I felt comfortable. So does anyone have any tricks or suggestions on how to get these out without breaking them.

Make sure you get the socket on straight, should come out fairly easy, I had to cut a bit of the insulation away so the socket could fit on the bolt.

if they have never been taken out before, they will be very tight like the last reply said, get the socket or wrench very straight and I have never had a problem getting them out

Try 10 mm

Try tightening the bolt first. If you can just crack it tighter it will then come loose easier.

Use some heat. I broke mine off even with the motor
. Had to drill that broken bolt out. I decided then to Hindle it. No more flex joints or donuts.
