I fired up my sled on one of the colder mornings, and noticed that exhaust smoke was coming out from under the plastics. I'm guessing that I likely have either worn out donuts, or a pipe crack. What is the easiest way to do a thorough check of the exhaust system? Do I simply have to remove the tank and seat?
Remove plastics, remove tank, remove set, remove heat shield under tank that exposes header pipe. Undo clamps on exhaust. Remove 4 bolts holding seat frame and the whole exhaust comes off atatched to the frame. Good luck!

Is it actually exhaust smoke? I have condensation burn off the engine and exhaust sometimes when I start mine the first time of the day.
Does it go away in a few seconds, or does it do it continously?
Not trying to second guess you, just hoping its something simple
Good luck,
Rick

I would bet that the exaust header pipes are cracked at the flange, mine were @800 miles. If this is the case, you will def hear exaust being louder and it will back fire some on trailing throttle.
If they are cracked, I would take them to a welder and have them Tig welded, it will be stronger than stock.
