What type of metal is the rear half of the exhaust system on my 2007 Attak?
Need to patch it up to get thru the rest of the season. Did the magnet trick on it and it stuck.
The magnet also sticks to the Stainless Steel y-pipes from Yamaha.
I'm thinkin its SS, just not high quality SS.

If it is SS and even if it is a low grade the magnet will barely stick to it, if IT'S STICKING it is not SS
It looks like regular Corten 18 gauge
We can beef up WHATEVER IT IS over here
is it FIXED YET??????

LOL.
Well thats how it started out as.
Atleast I didn't have to listen to it all day.

Well it turns out that a regular Mig welder works on the exhaust. Had to have it on the lowest "auto set" setting. It kept wanting to burn thru the walls of the pipe. Added another bead to the other side to help prevent the same thing happening again.
