Ground up the exhaust at end of Y pipes and start of silencer pipes. Looks like I lost the clamps and hanger under the grommets. Picks ate it up good:-(
Any suggestions to make repairs? The y-pipes are SS. The Ti pipes failed a couple years back

I would just buy new parts or see if someone has some replacements in the classifieds.

After you replace the damaged parts work on the tunnel protectors. I stretched mine down a bit then welded in stiffeners so they would not let the track collapse them.

You must of hit one huge mogul. How did that happen? studs too long? Maybe something wrong in the suspension. I've put on 16000 miles on Attaks and haven't had anything like that happen. I'm huge weighing 260 lbs bare A##.

Have 11000 miles on this sled and picked it when I bought it new. Have changed the donuts 3 times and y pipes a couple of years back. All has been good until this. Can't come up with a scenario where this should have happened.

I had changed pipes and donuts at 3500 miles. At around 5000 miles my studs ground thru the exhaust clamps and then I snap the muffler pipe at the Y. After repairing the damage I reinforced the protectors. This worked very well until the track ( original Ripsaw with 108 1.325 studs with 10500 miles) started loosing fingers in the protector area. Swapped out the track now with an Ice Attack XT which is a Ripsaw II base. This track has a solid paddle in the protector area making it much more resistant to folding over and allowing the studs to reach further into the tunnel.
IMO the original Ripsaw design is flawed. Over time and miles the finger design where the protectors run start to fail. If you don't run studs its not an issue but for those running studs it becomes one.

Thanks for that info, I'll be checking that out. With 11000 miles on the track, probably time to change it. How do you like the IceAttak compared to ripsaw with picks?

Well I wont be going back to a track that I would have to stud. I like to have some sort of studding for those "OhHow do you like the IceAttak compared to ripsaw with picks?

The Ice Attack XT has just as much traction on the ice as my old Ripsaw with 108 studs. The track is also smoother and quieter than the old Ripsaw.
For me its an all around better track.

I had my 1st Attak studded when new with 1.325's. 162 of them. Put 10k on it before I sold it. I had only a few lost lugs. Track was still very good. Looked better then the wifes new Vector LTX. Strange as it sounds. I had made 1 1/2 of protectors over the cooler as well. Never hit the brackets, etc

love my prestudded track just enough traction with out over doing it.

I made the same depth of protection on my Attak. I think that was the down fall for my track.
The studs never hit the cooler but sure did add a lot of pressure to the track when it would bottom out.
