I have a 2008 Apex motor with a GT2860 and am installing a adjustable regulator a Summit brand . My question is hooking up the variable rate sending line . Do I extend the line from the OEM regulator to the Adjustable reg or is there the better way . Thanx any input would be great

When you say variable rate sending line, are you referring to the boost / vacuum reference line or the fuel outlet line from the rail?

I believe it’s the vac reference line that was into the side of the regulatorWhen you say variable rate sending line, are you referring to the boost / vacuum reference line or the fuel outlet line from the rail?

I deleted my stock FPR and just installed an aluminum adapter plate with a barbed hose nipple, then re-used the vacuum signal line from the old regulator (T's into all 4 throttle bodies) extended it and and ran that to my external adjustable rising rate regulator so it see's same throttle body pressure the stock one would have.

Some guys cheat and just run a boost reference line from the intercooler to the FPR, problem is when you chop the throttle under boost, it over fuels / flogs the engine super rich because there is no vacuum to pull the increased fuel pressure away quickly when it doesn't need it.

When setting your base fuel pressure that's recommended for your map or fuel controller, either do it without the engine running or with that sense line plugged off so it's not influencing fuel pressure...

OK, so still running the stock ECU, so set it to the factory recommended base fuel pressure. I think I set mine to 43 or 45 psi.

Ya my fuel pressure gauge on the dash it reads 43 psiOK, so it uses the stock ECU, so set it to the factory recommended base fuel pressure. I think I set mine to 43 or 45 psi.
