I use the koplin jrs also and they work well and cost about $100. for two ... you have to be careful with the split O RING and then no leaks

best things is the trail tank for sure.
But if you want to go cheaper. go with the kolpin jr.
If you relocate the brake light. you can put it on the tunnel.
Check my avatar pics.

I tell ya I'm debating on putting on a tunnel extension just to carry extra gas. Lol

If you're going to do that just get the trail tank. I used the Doo caddy which works great and fit well. Just got a little warm even with a turnout and expanded. I couldn't get it to fit back on the rev last year after it expanded, lol. After forgetting my caddy on the last ride of the year and running out of gas, I decided to get the TT. No doubts nowI tell ya I'm debating on putting on a tunnel extension just to carry extra gas. Lol

Tour Buddy works for me, gives almost 41 liters, I like the fact that I don't have to stop and transfer and I'm never the first one looking for gas.

Ah sweet, was hoping someone tried this. I'm very skeptical of it being under the exhaust. How long have you had it?

Will be starting my third season at 9500km and had no issues with it. You do need the exhaust elbow to keep the heat away but that's pretty much it. The way it works is it first transfers itself in to the main tank so your gauge reads full for quite a while and then when your gauge starts going down you know you're on the main tank. Was lucky enough to get it from a guy selling it brand new in the box for half price on Kijiji.

I have the kolpin fuel cans, had the doo gas caddy before that and the tour buddy before that!
Doo can was the best setup for me but lost that option when I went back with the rear exit exhaust.

x2 on the tour buddy.
I have had the tour buddy on my XTX for 4 seasons now. No problems. Good weight balance and the fuel draws from the tourbuddy first.

A great video on youtube showing how it works and installation on a Nytro,
