WOW I'd say that is a step in the right direction. I'm guessing a lot of the turbo guys on here will still opt for the bigger power stuff out there but this may appeal to the less mechanically inclined who don't want to tinker. I wonder how much install cost ya over the 4g for the turbo?
Why can't they make it for every Nytro, why only the mountain guys?

Ive been speaking to Mac at Mountain performance for years on His kit and the relationship with Yam....congrats to him...he has invested a tremendous amount of money and patience to here..
this will appeal to the masses who want to turn to the dealer for a turn key setup..and will keep dealers in business with the lower volume sales we are seeing now...
eventually ..flatlanders will see some version...

MCX will work just as good at sealevel as i does at any altitude. They have a altitude compensation boost system.

From the pdf file about the MCX 180 hp kit:
"...we intended to make this kit really simple without any boost compensation for altitude. But at 2000 meter altitude (6500 feet) the power drops from 180 hp to just above 140 hp and at 3000 meter (10000 feet) the power is down to 125 hp. A stock machine is down below 90 hp at this altitude. After some tests we decided to install our altitude boost compensation even on this kit. Now the power is 180 hp at any altitude..."

Sweet i want one. MCX180
The yamaha rep at Haydays was telling us it's approx 7-8 hours install time for the super charger and less for the turbo. So factor in your shop rates if you want the dealer to put it in for the extra cost.

I still think I would get ulmers kit. Last I heard he was going to make some sort of switch to lower the boost to run 87 octane if necessary. Thats a big bonus for me.
