Thought I would post some pictures olia of the fitment of the Yamaha Deluxe Cover (Part Number SMA-COVER-80-10) in case anyone wanted to see what it looked like.

I'm used to putting covers on front to back but this one seems to go on better back to front. It is easy to find somewhere on the sled to hook the four straps with hooks and easy to tighten it to spread it out nice for maximum.

My only beef is it is really tight around the spindles and the strap that you pull under and attach on back, with velcro, only makes about two inches of contact with the fluffy velcro. If that comes undone, that section of the cover just pops right up. I might get rid of that strap and sew in cinch ones like are on the rest of the cover.

Looks good! My concern is the taller windshield and the side deflectors!! Looks like it might not fit!! BTW, close the door!!! :tg:

It'll fit I think. It is hard to see in these pictures but the stock shield on the RTX is well down from the top. The top of the cover where it goes over the higher shields is stretchy material with enough excess water proff, non stretch material over under it to go over any of the Yamaha shields. If you look at either of the pictures from the front you can see the excess of this material jumbled up under the stretchy material.

I have not even looked at my cover yet. I only bought it for summer storage. I know my Apex cover was tighter then a nun's Cu*T around the spindles and exhaust. Its a nice looking cover.. looks sharp.

My Vector cover fit the same on the spindle area, but the velcro musta been NASA grade cause it NEVER let go....

Do you have your sled in your living room? :dunno:

LOL. I built the house myself. I wanted the garage insulated, plastered and primed, figured might as well let the painters paint it while they were at it. The mouldings were left overs from working on the house so figured just as well trim out the garage windows.

If I could get the sled in the living room, it would be there.

I got my deluxe cover yesterday and it says on the instructions that it can be used with taller windshields.

The cover itself looks SO nice and the material that is put on the hood prior to the cover should make a big difference on surface scratches.
