Just curious about the best way to dissamble the rear suspension and remove the old shock and replace with the fat boy spring? Any help would be appreciated?
Thanks in advance,
Ron M

Take bolts out of limiter strap OR unscrew transfer rod adjuster.
loosen both bolts that hold you shock.
then just put a little pressure with a car jack(or let track down on floor a little) under you track.
you'll feel shock loosen up when you get the right amount of pressure.
unscrew your dial cable.
take out bolts and it comes right out

Easiest trick to pulling the shock or the entire suspension is to remove the control rod rear mounting bolt, much easier than limiter strap. Only caution is when reassembling, if you increase preload or installed heavier spring the holes in the control rod and rear arm won't line back up unless you get someone to compress the rear sus.

Question,
I havent done this myself on the monoshock.
Does he need a spring compressor to get the spring off the shock and the new one on?

You need the shock compressor when switching the spring on the RTX, Don't know about the other models though.

Thanks for the suggestions but I was able to figure it out on my own this morning, yes a spring compressor is required and an extra set of hands would have been helpful...Now was it worth the hassle???
