Hey guys I just finished extending my 2014 SR Viper LTX from 137 1.3 to 146 1 3/4. I didn't get to ride it much last year to get the suspension dialed in and I'm wondering if there are any other guys out there around my size (close to 300 lbs ride ready with gear on) with an xtx or a dx or if anyone can offer some suggestions. I'm always stood up and ride very aggressive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

sorry off topic but got any pics? i haven't seen a extended viper yet.

Very cool! Is that the stock tunnel to? But after reading your question I might suggest the mtx vertical steering. I herd it is a absolute must if u stand a lot. There is a thread on here that goes through all it does and how to do it.

Edit. Ps I also might add if you have your shocks revalved for your riding style it is awesome! I can't believe how much better it handles overall. I have to recommend monster Preformance just because that's who I went through but everyone on here seams to really like carver Preformance revalve.

It is the stock tunnel, lots of room for the 146 1 3/4. I'd like to try to tune my stock suspension first before I revalve or buy any parts. I only got the sled last year and hardly rode it, I'm more so looking for information on air pressure, strap position and spring adjustments first.

Im about 250 and i like 65# in the front floats, limiter straps in the last hole(all out), and my torsion springs on all the way soft. If you want to lift the skis better take out the black limiter blocks. the front comes up a lot better now!

How about the pressure in your back shock or the position of your rear shock coil spring?

The ltx models do not have the fox float in the rear suspension it is only controlled my a non adjustable shock and the torsion springs. the rear shock coil spring i have about 3/4 threaded up to take some ski pressure off of my skis. but i think most people like to un thread it until the spring wiggles then a couple turns back up.

Did you take out the whole shaft and all or just the blocks in the back? Are you running stock skis, do you find it pushing in the corners with the strap down and spring 3/4? I don't care about it lifting the skis, looks pretty cool but my biggest thing is to get it to corner like it's on rails and steer with minimal effort...

Yes keep shaft In. But if ur not into lifting skis and you want it to rail I would leave them in. I am running slp Mohawks and they rail like crazy and I had to take some ski pressure off to steer easier so that's why I'm at 3/4 threaded up. Last year when I ran my stock skis I ran the stock carbides for only a day because they darted like crazy. So I really don't have a suggestion for stock ski/carbides. All stock the viper has pretty easy steering effort. Strap all the way down will give you less ski pressure. Also threading up the rear coil shock will also give you less steering effort. So if you feel you have too much bite and it's too hard to steer thread up the rear coil shock 2 full turns to a time. There are better people on here to give suggestions and this is what I found out on myn. But I have to say this summer send out your shocks it will be the best money you will spend on your sled. I was bashing 2-3 foot washed out trail this week and I was able to just sit there and be completely comfortable. Then when I got to some nice smooth trail with some chatter hear and there you would never know it was there. The revalve is honestly the best money I have spent on my viper.
