2021 Yamaha SRX
My Dad was just looking at an 05 RX-1 to use around his place in Eagle River. The one he was looking at only has 1253 miles on it. It is picked to 144. Other then that ie is pretty much stock. Any thing he should look for as far as problems, recalls, etc; Besides the usual wear and tear?

Thanks guys for the help. He is new to four strokes, and hasn't ridden since 02. Last sled he had was a new built SRX . So he is a little nervous about getting taken by a private seller.

:rocks:

The 05 was a solid machine and the first to have the mono shock. The biggest issue with that year's model was that Yamaha didn't install grease zerks on the suspension. That is the only real issue that I can think of.

I heard there might have been a recall on the rear suspension/track, do to cracking. Is this true?

Just make sure you look over the rear suspension really well. Tiny cracks in the rails and cracked welds on the "W" arm are the big ones that I would look for. I didn't look close enough when I bought mine used and ended up paying for it later. Great sled no regrets on buying one :)
