I guess Im kinda dumb but here it is. I thought I was overheating. I now know I was not. ( when all else fails read the f*** book) Yesterday Im riding in 10 inches of fresh snow. My temp light comes on again!@ But wait,,, I open the hood it goes off. I close the hood it goes on, I open the hood it goes off, I close the hood it comes on. Hmmm. I reach down in the nose and pull on the cable harness it comes on, I let go, it goes off.... But this is the LOW temp coolant light! The one that blinks at warm up. I have not yet had time to find the cause but I did open up the cable housing and did not find anything obvious yet. I have 2 questions I need answered right now.
1. Does the low coolant temp light serve only that purpose?
2. In an overheat condition what lights would normally come on?
I did overheat it today in the garage while attempting yet another air bleed and to correct my coolant/water ratio. It did take quite some time and I was not suprised. In this condition I had these indicators.
Warning light -on (yellow top right)
temp indicator-on -LCD-thermometer icon
