Any feedback on the new turner skis? How about any aftermarket ones?
I have a 2011 apex and I seen the turner skis and I was looking for alittle better handleing

All I use on my sleds are SLP SLT or powder ski's. Very good ski in my opinion.

Curve ski's

I have Curve's that I put on my apex SE before I ever drove it so don't have anything to compare too. I had them from my previous sled a crossfire 1000 and they made a big difference on that sled. When I purchased my Apex I ordered the mounting kit, and new carbides from Curve. Curve has always been really nice to deal with. I can tell you the Apex rides and stears great (NO Darting!). My only dislike and it has nothing to do with performance is the width of the ski's. the buddy a ride with has them on his Nitro and its a pain to load both sleds up in my two place enclosed trainer. It's just too wide w/ both sleds next together.

So I was considring going with the Yamaha Duel Runners. I love that it's a Yamaha ski also. Anyone have any thouhgts on the duel runner?

Ski-Doo Pilot 5.7's bolt right on to the Apex spindle like they were meant to be. Handling is great on groomed trails.

I have 135 miles on the new tuners on the 12 Apex XTX. So far they are great, the one ride was garbage trails, ice and loose snow in the corners, not very consistent conditions. New carbides and the ice then all of a sudden a pile of loose snow. Absolutely ZERO darting that day. I will have a better ride this weekend as we normally do over 700 miles in da u.p. Will see what happens on some 'normal' trails and some powder. I'm running the 6" square inside and 4" round outside.

Ended up with 888 miles on the trip. Tuners work great, small amount of push in fresh, behind the groomer snow. In the set up trail they were about perfect and off trail they did float a little better then stock. I'd say about 97% of darting is gone. I like.

my friend just put the new tuner skis on his nytro, 6" and 4" carbides, turned that quirky handling thing into a completely differant sled, steers good now, so i would assume they would work great on an apex
i run c&a outlaws on my apex and like them

My dad had the Yamaha dual runners on his 06 attak. I ended up buying the tuner skis for my 06 apex and his attak. He said the tuner skis are way better than the Yamaha dual skis. I have 300 miles on the tuner skis running 4 inside and 2 outside and they are night and day from stock. Best $300 I've spent on my sled so far. Almost no darting and you can feel confident going into the corner knowing your sled is going to turn like you expect it. Also it makes turning a lot less effort. I would recommend them to anyone. If you expect them to eliminate the pushing in loose packed snow though, you will be disappointed like any other ski you put on the apex.

I rode in the UP two weeks ago with a set of tuners on my Apex. Had 6" woodys on the inside and 4" woodys on the outside. Some of the corners were blown out down to ice. The sled turned very well with this setup. Never pushed no matter what.
Much better than stock. On my sled they were a bit twitchy in the straight line. I think I could have gone with a 4" inside and 2" outside and got the best of both worlds. All in all I was still very impressed.

Like you I had the 6/4 setup and switched to a 4/2 on my 09 LTX..The 4/2 was a much better setup for me, less steering effort, no darting and it corners better in IMO. The 6/4 combo almost had too much "bite" in the corners. No studs and Cobra track..

if you can afford them, buy the split rail skiis, onceyou have them you wont go back

The split rails are nice, but $900 to $1200 is a little steep for most. I talked to Bluebullet last week & he said the Tuners are a big improvement. Maybe he'll chime in & say if they're worth it or not. I like my 5.7's, but they are not that good in powder...

I just got my tuners this week, they have been backordered. I ordered 4's and 2's and the 2's are STILL on backorder, so I got some 0 round bars. Has anyone run a 4/0 setup? I haven't had a chance to try mine yet.

I'm a little concerned that this is the 2nd winter that these have been available (well first full winter I think?) and this stuff is always on backorder. I'm thinking I'll be ordering a few sets of carbides over the summer just so I don't have to worry about them over the next winter.

When looking at the chart that comes with the skis, they actually recommend 2/0 or 4/0 for the easiest handling. I think you will be fine except for a little pushing in some loose snow. Also I found some tuner skis through a Yamaha dealer on ebay along with the carbides and I ordered two sets for mine and my dads sled and they were here within a week. This was just last month.
