Here's my take so far, 06 apex gt, had stock skis with 8" triples with ski savers and smaller shims no studs, liked the bite, turned great and I was very confident it would turn if I approached a turn hot and needed to crank the bars, disliked the darting and heavy steering-i was afraid at times to take my hand of the bars to signal other riders due to horrible darting, just put 175 miles on tuners with 6" squares on inside and bars only on outside with same smaller shims, conditions were not great and it was far from hard packed (mostly groomed lake effect snow), liked - no darting and very easy steering effort, dislike - turned decent but not nearly as good as the triples, pushed a bit in corners, also would not turn on road which was not problem for the triples, at this point i will stick with tuners as I want to ride some hard packed and play with carbides combos , will update after my next trip!
